Taurus UniFeeds

Taurus’ UniFeed systems are designed to replace Lower Connectors and Mandrels in those applications that have a lower seal bore modification, reducing the number of electrical components by effectively combining a Mandrel and a Lower Connector.

Lower Seal Bore modifications must exist or be made in the tubing hanger in order to use a UniFeed system. Taurus also provides Hybrid Systems which allow the same reduction of cost and components without wellhead modifications.

Tubing Hanger and Bonnet

The UniFeed system combines a robust single alloy or stainless steel connector that attaches through the tubing hanger and attaches to a Surface Pigtail. Taurus’ versatile retention ring prevents corrosion and provides a thorough environmental surface seal, extending the field life of the UniFeed.

The UniFeed is available in both shop attachable (pigtail), and field attachable versions. It is designed to accommodate any size and type of cable.

Taurus Mandrels are shipped standard with Thread Protectors. Pressure Plugs are also available when required.

Taurus also provides Redress Kits that allow an end-user to effectively clean and re-use UniFeeds for a considerable savings of time and cost.
